When morning came, Tara’s parents finally decided to transfer her to the Medical City, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. the Argus I have already declared to be my "mana" from my lolo. i think its breakdown was the reason why he got the Canon FTQL (which I've also declared mine). malay natin, "resurrectable" pa siya. or biglang mag-produce ulit ng film ang Polaroid for the 320. libreng mangarap! :)

Rat Ravin'

Yes, it's my first time to take care of a rodent, a Siberian Husky rat by the name of Gypsy. So every little thing she does is pretty much magic for me, since I'm more used to feline and canine antics. Anyway, this is what happened during feeding time this evening, as I tested her um, 'skills'. She used my backpack as storage room for her nuts. She's a pretty good rat, goes back to her little cage when she's tired of exploring. I returned her mixed nuts in the 'food keeper' (an empty cotton buds dispenser) when she wasn't looking.

These graphics are striking for me as they show how well the designer observes, analayses and re-present through her eyes. Some of you may have already seen it, but it is nice to take another look.

These are icons designed by Liu Yang, a Chinese born but educated in her teen through adult life in Germany. Her work shows how East meets West. Her work fits so well with globalization of culture, peoeple and places.

See whether you agree with her.

Blue means the West

Read means the East/ Asian/Chinese

The boss

me

child

eldery in day to day life

way of life

three meals a day

moods and weather

things that are new

opinion

party

perception of each other

contacts

handling of problem

punctuality

queue in waiting

in the restaurant

shower...

the lost Corregidor foot soldiers

...non-literal, of course. These objects have somehow found their way onto Corregidor's South Beach. Are these (garbage?) from nearby Maragondon washed ashore? Why are there so many? And where's the rest of the garbage?

(hehe, parang UFO mystery)

First developed in Germany in the 1920's, the Rollei 6x6cm Twin Lens Reflex Camera has always been a preferred tool for serious photography, especially portraits. There cannot be, for example, a single Hollywood celebrity who has not been photographed with a Rollei. Now, many of the outstanding convenience features and nostalgic design can be yours in a fashionable up-to-date digital with auto focus feature to shoot between 4 inches (10cm) to infinity on 5 mega pixel image. The Rolleiflex MiniDigi AF5.0, a world's first in its class.

I got this from the Rollei website:

http://www.rollei.jp/e/pd/MiniDigiAF.html

It's just a teeny bit larger than the 120 film!

Holga 135: Hoy vignettes, wer na u, hir na me!

OKAY, I've tried. Lessons learned:

1) The Holga 135 (WITHOUT the BC) produces no vignettes whatsoever, unless my camera doesn't like me.

2) The Holga 135's concept of infinity is rather blurry, unless my camera really doesn't like me.

3) To make the most out of the Holga 135, be sure to use the Bulb mode and the hotshoe to the fullest. Experiment, experiment, experiment!

Should one splurge on slides to make the Holga 135 more fun? I don't know; I haven't tried. Perhaps someone would care to share? :)

Disclaimer: There are some teeny tiny shadowy things by (some) corners. If you consider those vignettes, then I guess I'm wrong and my camera likes me just a teeny bit after all. :)
